Education

Adults, Kids
There are many ways to learn
and enjoy music!

We have many opportunities to expand your musical mastery at Wintergrass.
From music basics, to songwriting tips from pros, to intensives diving deep into a topic, we have music education for all ages.

We thank Amazon.com for supporting all our education programs,
and Ear Trumpet Labs and Peghead Nation for supporting our workshops.

Adult Education

Intensive workshops are our most in-depth workshops at Wintergrass. Dive deep into a specific instrument like guitar, banjo or nyckelharpa and learn what makes the greats great. These courses are limited to 15 adult students each, require paid registration and fill up quickly.

People have asked us for years: Why can’t there be a “Camp” at Wintergrass where “beginner” grown-ups can go beyond the regular workshop format and have fun and games and wall-to-wall instruction? A safe environment for exploring music, building a circle of friends, and getting a little silly is what the Youth Academy has always been about, and now Wintergrass extends this to adults! Our new Wintergrass Never-Too-Late Day Camp takes place on Saturday, and requires a separate paid registration.

Workshops

Our workshop offerings range from instrument basics, to vocal and harmony training, to groove and feel workshops, to audio production techniques. Festival workshops are included in the price of your festival ticket and are open to festival goers only.
